Coming To America 2 – Is Coming To Cinemas

I could not stop smiling when it was confirmed in January, that a sequel was bound for Eddie Murphy’s most funny comedy ever.

The world’s most optimistic prince comes to America – again here 30 years later. And now we also know when to expect a the sequel for Coming to America.

Coming to America came out in 1988 and quickly became one of Eddie Murphy’s most popular comedies. He is unforgettable as the pampered Prince Akeem from the fictional African country of Zamunda.

Akeem travels to the United States to find himself an independent wife. Because, he doesn’t bother those boring arranged marriages that are popular at home. But life as a black man in the US becomes a bit of a culture shock.

Eddie Murphy once again puts on the oversize fur coat in american cinemas on August 7, 2020. According to The Hollywood Reporter. We do not yet know when Coming to America 2 comes worldwide, but such a massive comeback must be expected to follow shortly after the American cinema premiere.

Coming To America 2 is scheduled for the entire original cast, including James Earl Jones, who played the king of Zamunda. The movie will be directed by Craig Brewer, who has just completed another movie with Murphy, Dolemite Is My Name.

Akeem will meet his son

The script is written by Kenya Barris, who is the series creator of Black-ish, who is also about the hardships of being black in the United States. This time, Akeem is going to America to meet his unknown son, who is the heir to the throne of Zamunda.

Eddie Murphy has commented on returning to his iconic role, and he sounds just as enthusiastic as I`m.
